Nestled in the vibrant heart of London’s Granary Square, Granary Square Brasserie offers an exceptional British dining experience with a contemporary twist. This bustling restaurant, renowned for its inviting atmosphere and sophisticated yet unpretentious charm, is the perfect destination for lovers of both classic and inventive British cuisine. Whether you’re craving a hearty Full English Breakfast or the indulgent Champagne Cream Tea, Granary Square Brasserie caters expertly to all tastes, including a thoughtfully curated vegan and vegetarian menu that elevates plant-based dining to exciting new heights.

The menu reads like a love letter to British gastronomy, featuring beloved dishes such as succulent Fish & Chips, tender Shepherd’s Pie, and the indulgent Chocolate Bombe that tantalizes the sweetest tooth. Breakfast enthusiasts will find joy in options like fluffy Pancakes and the perfectly balanced Avocado Eggs Benedict, while those seeking more refined flavors can indulge in Steak Tartare, Lobster Linguine, or the decadently creamy Crème Brulée. The carefully paired cocktails, including the smooth Espresso Martini and lively cappuccinos, provide the perfect complement to any meal, elevating your dining experience from simple nourishment to a memorable event.

Guests are welcomed into a lively, energetic space that buzzes with the gentle hum of conversations — a place where friends gather to share stories over perfectly cooked dishes and expertly mixed drinks. The ambiance here pulses with authentic London vibrancy, though some reviewers note that during peak brunch and lunch hours, the lively crowd can make conversations a little challenging, underscoring its popularity and convivial spirit.

What truly sets Granary Square Brasserie apart is not just its broad, high-quality menu but the outstanding service that brings this culinary adventure to life. Staff like Roberto and TJ are repeatedly praised for their warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism, which adds a personal touch that resonates deeply with guests. Whether greeting you with a friendly smile at the bar or ensuring your birthday meal proceeds flawlessly, their dedication enriches the overall experience beyond the plate.

Vegetarian and vegan diners will find themselves genuinely spoiled. From the melt-in-your-mouth truffle arancini to the vibrant ginger and soy glazed aubergine main, each dish is thoughtfully crafted to deliver robust flavors and textures without compromise. The spring pea and wilted nettle soup and the cheese soufflé with basil exemplify how the kitchen transforms simple ingredients into something truly special.

Some diners, like Itai Assaf Sadeh Raizman-Greif, mention a slight disconnect in terms of pricing and some practical details such as utensil sharpness, yet overwhelmingly the food quality and the attentive service more than compensate. Others, like Karolina G, experienced flawless execution across the board — perfectly cooked scallops, crispy sourdough, and cocktails that were "just perfect." The festive atmosphere during special events is also a highlight, with live carol singers and cozy décor creating unforgettable moments, as noted by a guest enjoying their Christmas dinner.

Granary Square Brasserie is a destination where classic British dishes are both celebrated and innovated upon, where conviviality reigns, and where every visit feels like a special occasion. Whether you’re starting your day with the bright, fresh notes of avocado and eggs or winding down with a rich steak and a glass of red wine, this brasserie promises not only excellent food but an experience steeped in genuine hospitality and vibrant London energy.

It's loud and it was hard to talk, completely packed during brunch and lunch. We were served by the lovely Roberto on the bar, who really elevated the experience for us. I had the Chicken Milanese, which was great but a bit tough to cut with the dull knife, and ordered a size of potato chips which were amazing. A bit expensive for a random lunch in the middle of vacation day, but the food was great.

Food was absolutely fantastic, especially for the price. There was not a thing, we did not like. Scallops where soft, sourdough crispy on top, chips perfectly fried, eggs soft like butter, curry perfectly spiced. I could have continued to eat just for the sake of it! Coctails were also perfect. Service a little bit slow but they were fully booked so it doesnt suprise me. Staff was polite and helpful. Highly recommend

The festive Christmas dinner was delicious and the live carol singers and service were out of this world. Excellent, flavoursome food, lovely decor and atmosphere with good service. Food is worth every penny, the wine is somewhat expensive - no doubt the great location attracts a supplement. My only quibble is the white wine was placed in a cooler some feet away, no problem but the busy waiters didn’t check to top up our glasses, so we got up to do it ourselves - idiosyncrasy or oversight I am not certain but either way no real issue. Would certainly recommend a visit, the food was great. Would recommend the crispy duck salad and monkfish curry.

I went to Granary Square Brasserie for a drink to catch up with some friends. At first, I was a bit disappointed to be seated at the bar, as I had hoped to enjoy the rare London sunshine outdoors. But as soon as I started chatting with Roberto, Nika, and Robin, the bar team, that feeling disappeared and I quickly realised I was in the right place. Their professionalism, friendliness, and genuine warmth made the experience exceptional. It’s such a pleasure when your drinks are crafted by people who clearly love what they do. The atmosphere at the bar was lively yet relaxed, perfect for a good conversation. I highly recommend stopping by for a drink and trying their Contemporary Cocktail Session. I had two out of three and absolutely loved them!

We visited Granary Square this evening for a birthday meal. My first time visiting this establishment. The setting was beautiful / sedate and calm, with comfortable seating. The starters were tasty - had the chicken skewers. Our service provider, TJ, was attentive to our requests. The mains were a good sized portion, as were the starters. I had the Minute steak - I would have preferred it to have been well done (as requested) and a little more tastier in my opinion. The celebrant was treated to a drink on the house, which was recommended to him by Finn, one of the managers. He was also served with a surprise chocolate bombe for desert. The 5 stars are awarded for the overall service - cannot fault that at all. Thank you to Finn who brought this dining experience to life.

Really nice. Food was good not great. Squid lovely, sauce dip too salty. Steak tartar under seasoned. Cocktail also not great Christmas Pina Colada but saying this. Good atmosphere, would return as loved atmosphere and if try something new on menu.

Our Christmas work party at Granary Square Brasserie was absolutely fantastic. A special mention to Nusaybah, who was exceptional throughout the evening. Despite being incredibly busy, she was super attentive with our dietary requirements and really went above and beyond to make everyone feel special. The managers were hands-on throughout the night, helping out and interacting with guests, which created such a welcoming atmosphere. It’s always a pleasure to visit - the team’s dedication really shines through. Thank you to the entire team for a memorable evening, and particular credit to Nusaybah for making it so special.

The weekday set lunch is excellent; delicious and great value at £24 nett. I had the calamari to start and the grilled seabream as the main; both were beautifully prepared. The interior décor is impressive, making it a great venue for catching up with friends or a relaxed business lunch. The staff were very busy, so service was a little slow but polite.
